Aloha, my name is Kilinahe, the hands and heart behind Hoʻonui Designs.

Some of my earliest memories are in my grandma’s sewing room in ʻEwa Beach. It was the only room in the house with air conditioning, and naturally, it became our gathering place. My cousins and I would spend hours there, playing and escaping the heat. It always felt like an oasis. Now, when I sit down to sew, I find myself returning to that same feeling. A quiet, grounding space where time slows and I can simply create.

Through sewing, I have grown more connected to her and gained a deeper appreciation for her work as a seamstress and the care she poured into every piece.That sense of intention lives within Hoʻonui. Each creation reflects the rhythm of the Kaulana Mahina and the phases we all move through. Made to grow with you, every piece is designed to feel meaningful, lived in, and truly yours.
